Create maintenance schedules and sync reminders to Apple Reminders or Calendar for timely service notifications.
Creating a Maintenance Schedule
On iPhone/iPad

- Tap “+” or “Add Schedule” to create a new maintenance item
- Configure the schedule:
- Service Type: Select from common services (Oil Change, Brake Pads, Tire Rotation, etc.) or create a custom service
- Mileage Interval: Toggle on and enter miles between services (e.g., every 10,000 miles)
- Time Interval: Toggle on and enter months between services (e.g., every 12 months)
- Last Service: Toggle on to record when the service was last performed (date and mileage)
- Notes: Add any relevant notes (oil specification, part numbers, etc.)
- Tap “Save” to create the schedule
On Mac
- Select the Schedule section from the sidebar
- Select your vehicle from the horizontal selector
- Click “Add Schedule” from the toolbar
- Configure the schedule with service type, intervals, and last service information
- Click “Save”
Syncing to Apple Reminders
- Find the schedule you want to be reminded about
- Tap/click the reminder icon (bell) or select “Add to Reminders” from the schedule’s action menu
- Grant permission if prompted — Rennch needs Reminders access to create reminder items
- Confirmation: A reminder is created in your default Reminders list with:
- Vehicle name and service type in the title
- Due date based on your schedule
- Deep link to open Rennch directly to the schedule
- Priority based on service status (overdue = high priority)
Syncing to Apple Calendar
- Find the schedule you want as a calendar event
- Tap/click the calendar icon or select “Add to Calendar” from the action menu
- Grant permission if prompted — Rennch needs Calendar access
- Confirmation: A calendar event is created with:
- 1-hour duration on the scheduled service date
- Vehicle and service details in the event notes
- URL link to open Rennch
Tips
- Dual intervals work together: If you set both mileage and time intervals, the schedule shows “due” when either threshold is reached first
- VIN decoding populates intervals: When you decode a VIN, Rennch automatically creates schedules with manufacturer-recommended intervals for your specific vehicle
- Update after service: When you log a service, Rennch automatically updates the corresponding schedule’s “last service” date and mileage
- Permission troubleshooting: If reminders don’t create, check Settings > Privacy & Security > Reminders and ensure Rennch has access
